Introduction

OUTD is a non profit university aimed at promoting research activities in various fields of study. Our professionals are always ready to assist students who would like to expand their knowledge in the field of interest. We evaluate solely based on their research performance. The following fields are currently offered:

• Education (Science, Instructional Design, Curriculum etc)

Levels & Entry requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (BSc or BA according to field): entry with a diploma  or its equivalent in relevant field
• Master's Degree (MSc or MA according to field): entry with a Bachelor's in relevant field
• Open Entry to Master's Degree (MA only): entry with a diploma or its equivalent in relevant field plus 5 years working experience

Modules

Strictly via online mode. No teaching is involved but the registered students are free to contact the assigned tutors for advice. The students are also expected to keep up with the latest developments in their fields by reading books and journal articles on their own. Your job is to complete a thesis on the approved topic. For Bachelors, the relevant topics are on reviews of various aspects and contributions of new ideas (60,000 - 70,000 words) in the field of interest. For Masters, the topics are on discovering new concepts or ideas (30,000 - 50,000 words), contributing to the development of the field. Next, every registered student must contact the tutor for the titles and suitable guidance. Open entry candidates must consult the tutor for further details. No exams are needed. 

Maximum duration

• Bachelor's Degree (min 2 years, max 5 years)
• Master's Degree (min 1 year, max 4 years)

Conferment of degrees

You must complete the proposed topic within the stipulated duration. Before thesis submission, you must also prove that you have successfully published a relevant paper in one of the ISI journals. Thesis review may take a minimum of 2 months. No Viva-Voce is involved.

Fees

No charges for registration and processing. Upon completion, a degree will be sent to you by email or post. At this time, a minimum charge of RM300 (USD90) must be paid.
